Guidance notes
At lower levels your influence might only extend to immediate colleagues. At higher levels, your influence could extend to external stakeholders like customers, suppliers, and partners. At the highest levels, your decisions can shape organizational policies, strategies, and even affect the broader industry.

Level 1 - Follow
May have minimal influence with immediate colleagues.
Level 2 - Assist
Interacts with and may influence immediate colleagues. May have some contact with customers, suppliers and partners.
Level 3 - Apply
Interacts with and influences colleagues. Has working level contact with customers, suppliers and partners. May oversee routine work assigned to individuals.
Level 4 - Enable
Influences projects and team objectives. Has account level contact with customers, suppliers and partners. May have some responsibility for the work of others and for the allocation of resources.
Level 5 - Ensure, advise
Influences organisation, customers, suppliers, partners and peers in operational business decisions. Has significant influence over the allocation and management of resources.
Level 6 - Initiate, influence
Influences organisation, customers, partners and peers on the formation of strategy and the execution of business plans.
Has organisational leadership and influence over the appointment and management of resources related to the implementation of strategic initiatives.
Level 7 - Set strategy, inspire, mobilise
Directs, influences and inspires the strategic direction and development of the organisation at the highest levels. Authorises the appointment of required resources.
