Mary-Anne Merriott

Mary-Anne leads the recruitment and HR services arm of the Digital Skills Agency – Good People: focused on finding digitally skilled individuals in all professions and supporting businesses to develop and maintain a great people-focused culture.

My fields of expertise are recruitment, people management and human resources.

I’ve worked all over the world with companies big and small. I’m devoted to helping my clients bring out the best in themselves and their people, especially in times of challenge and change.

Some of my major strengths are positivity, practical problem solving and people development, which means I like real-life, workable solutions that make a difference right away. I’m a big fan of modern, innovative HR practices (‘People and Culture’), and I’m always looking at fresh ways to learn and grow.

My work with SFIA in New Zealand has touched on some well-known Kiwi businesses and the tech/digital community has long been an important part of my career, either through employers or through my client groups.

Before starting my career, I earned degrees in Law and Languages from the University of Auckland, and later a Masters in HR Management from the University of Westminster in the UK. Along the way my professional experience and contribution has been recognised through attaining Chartered status with three professional HR bodies, the CIPD, AHRI and HRNZ and professional recognition as a senior recruiter through membership of the RCSA.
