Generative AI & SFIA: Building Responsible Practices Together

The SFIA Foundation is taking proactive steps to support the growing use of AI technologies with SFIA. Organisations are already using GenAI in uses cases like job analysis, skills mapping and matching learning resources to specific SFIA skills and levels. We're committed to developing responsible practices together.

We will be steered by community interests. Currently our initial focus includes:

  • Developing practical resources: guidelines for using official SFIA data sources, sample prompts, and validation checklists
  • Educational/knowledge sharing webinars. Starting with some basic of working with GenAI and SFIA to explore real-world applications and best practices. This sets the foundation for exploring more advanced applications using technologies like Large Language Models (LLMs), vector search, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
    • We've released SFIA 9 in RDF format, enabling semantic web and knowledge graph applications. This is accompanied by an open source script for creating the RDF.
