SFIA - ISCO-08

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has adopted the SFIA Framework as their Digital Skills Framework under a country-wide licence.

The General Authority for Statistics in KSA has produced the Saudi Classification of Professions aligned to ISCO-08 and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) commissioned work to map SFIA to the ISCO-08.

The mapping was conducted by SFIA Accredited Consultants Matthew Burrows, John Boyle and Andy Thomson, as part of a contract awarded to SkillsTx by MCIT.  It is made available by kind permission of the Ministry.

• The most common skills and competencies, along with their level, which would typically be practiced during the performance of jobs and roles within these occupations are highlighted.
• They should not be thought of as a complete and exhaustive list of all the skills and competencies required, as the same job or role within different teams or organisations will typically vary and require a slightly different mix of skills.
• Skills required for jobs and roles should be based on the operating model, industry context, underlying technologies and methodologies, as well as the size and structure of the organisation.
