#1598 Separate Enterprise and Business Architecture (STPL) into 2 distinct skills change request pending
Business Architecture would be the core skill for Business Architects, while Enterprise Architecture would be the core skill for Enterprise Architects.
I would like to propose a change to the key architecture skill, Enterprise and Business Architecture (STPL).
This existing skill currently combines two distinct architecture domains: Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture. In most organisations, these are treated as separate domains with different remits and skill sets.
Therefore, I propose retiring the current combined skill and introducing two separate skills in its place: Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture. Business Architecture would be the core skill for Business Architects, while Enterprise Architecture would be the core skill for Enterprise Architects.
