#1610 Data analytics DAAN: make exploratory data analysis easier to find change request pending

Exploratory data analysis is already covered in DATS guidance (“developing hypotheses and exploring data using models and analytics sandboxes”) and the techniques described in the DCF Exploratory Data Analysis (EXP) capability (descriptive statistics, anomaly detection, clustering, dimensionality reduction) are core data analytics and data science activities. The DCF references BINT and DAAN; DATS would be an equally valid reference.

Adding “conducting exploratory data analysis to examine datasets, summarise characteristics, identify patterns and detect anomalies” to DAAN and/or DATS guidance would make EDA more findable as a minor SFIA 10 enhancement.
