Utilisation du SFIA et octroi de licences

Important : vous devez obtenir une licence pour utiliser le SFIA.

The SFIA Foundation maintains and distributes the SFIA program through a licensing system. SFIA is available at no cost for personal professional development and for most internal personnel management uses. Other uses may require another type of license at a moderate cost.

The following is a list of prohibited uses without a special paid license granted by the SFIA Foundation:

  • using AISS to support the sale or marketing of a product or service;
  • using SFIA to grant external certification or accreditation
  • using SFIA to promote a business or other organization, including in rate cards; redistribution of such material in electronic or printed form to another organization (even if affiliated);
  • use of SFIA in a large decentralized organization;
  • translation of SFIA into another language or language variant and distribution of that version.

Separate licenses are available for large-scale use of the SFIA framework. This is particularly interesting if a country wishes to use the SFIA Global Common Reference Model to launch large-scale skills and competencies initiatives. These licenses include:

  • Licensing for the entire public sector
  • Nationwide License

As a non-profit institution, the SFIA Foundation does not seek commercial profit beyond its subsistence needs. All proceeds are used to develop, maintain and deliver the framework and support its adoption by organizations and individuals around the world through our global ecosystem. As stated in the terms of use of our license, our intellectual property has real value, which we intend to protect by charging a very low license fee to those who benefit commercially from its use. The Foundation does not generate significant revenue and has a very modest operational capacity that is supported by SFIA users, trainers, consultants and partners around the world.

SFIA Foundation is governed by respected professional organizations or bodies, and all information is available on the SFIA – www.sfia-online.org
