The creation and maintenance of an organisation's overall voice and data network plans in support of business strategy.

Activities include - but not limited to...

  • participation in the creation of service level agreements
  • planning of all aspects of infrastructure necessary to ensure provision of network services to meet agreed service levels

Network planning covers all aspects of the communications infrastructure including - but not limited to - internal and external networks, mobile, public and private, internet, intranet and call centres. Physical implementation may include copper wire, fibre-optic, wireless, or any other technology.

Creates and maintains overall network plans to support the organisation's business strategy. Agrees service level agreements with customers and plans all aspects of the infrastructure necessary to ensure provision of network services to meet such agreements.
