Describe Your Work Experience

Help us suggest relevant SFIA template roles by naming the job you do or roles you have had. This is optional but this can provide a tailored starting point for exploring personal skills inventory. This search is still being improved, so you may need to try some different variations. If you leave this blank you will get a list of all the role templates.

💡 Include keywords such as business analyst, project manager, scrum master, cyber security analyst, software developer

Select Template Role(s)

Select one or more roles that match your work. You don't need an exact match as the role templates are only used to build a candidate list of skills for your inventory. You can select more than one role template, but be selective - as the more you select the longer the list of candidate skills will be. You will select skills in the next step.

Choose Skills to Assess Now

Here are your candidate skills from the selected template roles. Use the check box to select the skills you'd like to assess now.

💡 How to Choose Skills

Explore each skill first:

  • Hover over skill names for quick descriptions
  • Hover over the level badges (L1-L7) to see the first sentence of the level description to get more information on the scope of the skill
  • Click skill names to visit the SFIA website and view the full SFIA skill page

Then select skills:

  • Check boxes for skills to assess now (we recommend selecting a small number to get started)
  • Leave unchecked to keep on your list. You can return to assess these later.
  • Click the X button to exclude skills that don't match your work experience or you don't want to use in your assessment.

If there is a skill you would like to assess that is not listed; you can add additional skills using the form at the bottom of the page
